The GLP-1 is a gaming changing drug. My anxiety is just gone and I’m losing weight. Can’t beat that.

I didn’t sleep well last night. Between the hangover, the Wegovy hangover after eating too much and the baby not sleeping well, I just trudged through the day.

Work went okay tho. I’m trying to be more proactive with things.

It was nice to get away from the baby for a bit and talk to other smart people for a second.

Best day in the gym since the baby! I did some extra swings for fun.

Lydia did a bunch of twilight eating last night and Rachel and I both got about 7 hours of sleep each, which is a revelation. I’m finally consistently earning her smiles, which makes this whole thing feel more real.

The GLP-1 is sorta working. I’m feeling hungry all the time though, which is probably to be expected, but it’s not debilitating. I need to snack smarter and really study how to meal plan for this. Maybe I’m drinking too much water with it tho.

Well, the cleaners showed up at 9am, while we were all sleeping. So I had to rush to get stuff organized and really didn’t kick off the cleaning in a proper way (we need this cleaned, look out of for this, etc). I also punched a wall before they came in because I was so overwhelmed by the whole situation. As a result, tho, the cleaning was just alright and we didn’t get the full value.

My Japanese Maple is dying. This is what I get for leaving for two weeks. Never again.

The upside of my day was that Rachel told me to take the afternoon off. The punching of the wall freaked her out. I feel fine, but maybe I’m lying to myself.

The other upside is that I randomly got approved for a GLP1!?!? Let’s lose some weight y’all!

I finished the flyer for my HTML Day freewrite, now it’s time to promote it!

Lactation consultant came by and told us our bottles aren’t working right, so we need new ones.

Cooked a delicious pork roast for dinner. Now Lydia is sleeping on me as I watch the Knicks.

I just like being a house husband during the day. I’m just moving around the house making meals and cleaning and I just love it. I wish I could get outside more, but Liddy’s skin doesn’t allow it just yet / Rachel is still healing.

I’ve woken up the last 2 days to Rachel weeping because the baby won’t latch or is crying. She has decided to stay up all night with the baby instead of tapping me in. I requested yesterday that she aggressively wake me up, as my sleepytime anti-depressants tune ambient sound out. She didn’t do this. I’m frustrated because I need to know whether this medication will work out with the baby or whether I need to switch, which I’m not looking forward to, if I need to.

Reweighed the baby today, got more feedback that we need to aggressively feed the baby. We didn’t feed the baby before going to the appointment, which made us feel bad, and then we couldn’t feed her until we go home because she was too gassed up.

I feel guilty that my remeron is allowing me to sleep through the night undisturbed. I’m going to adjust the amount in advance of meeting with my doctor to see if I can sleep but still be able to wake up and help.

The time that Liddy was sleeping for 2 hours and we were just joking around. Kettle Baby Squats!

The shaken baby videos were massive killjoys. Necessary, but really messed us up.

Rachel was in labor all weekend. Contractions were 10 minutes apart on Sunday evening and she couldn’t sleep. I woke up and decided she needed to go to the hospital. We get there and they are like “We will probably need to send you home” but then checked her and were like “Oh you’re 4cm dilated”

We get into the room and Anjie is with us the whole time, thank god. It was so great to have someone to tap to help out as I got exhausted later on. She cut the cord, which is something I just didn’t want to do.

The only thing that went wrong was Rachel’s first epidural was not properly installed and she was in intense pain for about an hour and a half before it got fixed. I got a little snippy but kept it together.

Rachel was in the delivery room over 12 hours but she only had to push for 24 minutes. The wonders of modern medicine and all the pelvic floor PT.

When she came out, she was a quiet baby. The NICU fellow had to come down and do a bunch tests before skin on skin. It was the most scared that I was during the whole birth and I truly felt powerless. But, she kept squirming and it turns out that the combination of mom’s Zoloft and all the epidural drugs just made her sleepy.

During skin on skin, she latched and got a little meal. All in all, pretty smooth delivery, tho it took a very long time.

I finally fell asleep at 5am and it’s been pretty quiet so far.

Ran the stuff in the nursery to the storage unit, all purging of stuff is now done! 🎉

We spent the evening doing or relationship scrapbook. All most all the longstanding projects are done. I need to do some harnessing on some personal projects such that I can build them on my phone.

Pro: Did a PR of deadlift (285lbs)!

Cons: I was violently ill from food poisoning. I was shivering and I couldn’t keep food or water down.

Rachel yelled “oh my god. OH MY GOD” and I thought her water broke. I ended up crying in bed because I felt helpless and weak.
