Feelings

I maintain a diary of my feelings using Daylio which I publish to this site daily. I wrote a bit about it on my blog, if you are interested in how and why.

I felt good

  • Iโ€™m on a tear reading right now. Just finished 2 Caro books and am very close on two other non-fictions.
  • Cooked a nice dinner of chicken thighs au poivre with actual French peppercorns. Ugh so delicious.
  • I started going to a college football bar across the neighborhood to watch OSU games. Nice change of pace and the wings are nice.

I felt meh

  • Havenโ€™t journaled in like a year and felt like time to come back.
  • Itโ€™s bad, but at least there is some finality in knowing that itโ€™s bad that makes me feel more focused.
  • Updates from the year are like โ€œmarriage is a thing you have to gardenโ€ and โ€œitโ€™s time for new things, as the old things that gave me life donโ€™t anymoreโ€
  • New job has been fun but itโ€™s been hard when itโ€™s in a valley to care. I feel more annoyed at work, but itโ€™s because I personally. care more than the last few spots. I think itโ€™s because I feel I need it to work out.
  • I think Iโ€™m going to replace my Twitter consumption with reading books.
