Methuselah Privacy Policy

Methuselah is a small, personal AI agent built and operated by Eli Gundry. It responds to text messages (SMS) and emails on my behalf. This is a hobby project used by me and my wife — it is not a commercial product and it is not offered to the general public. This policy explains what data Methuselah handles and how.

Who runs this

Information we collect

• Phone number — if you text the service, so that Methuselah can reply to you.
• Email address — if you email the service, so that Methuselah can reply to you.
• Message content — the text of the messages and emails you send, so that Methuselah can understand and respond.

How we use it

The information above is used solely to operate the agent: to read your message, generate a reply, and send that reply back to you. Message content may be processed by third-party AI and messaging providers (see below) for the purpose of generating and delivering responses.

How we share it

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information is only shared with the service providers that make Methuselah work, such as:

• Twilio — to send and receive SMS messages.
• AI / language model providers — to generate replies from your message content.
• Email providers — to send and receive email.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the agent. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting out and getting help

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. After you reply STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or email eligundry@gmail.com.

Data retention

Messages are retained only as long as needed to operate the service and are deleted when no longer needed. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing eligundry@gmail.com.

Children

Methuselah is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
